My dad said...

Sorry if you visited yesterday only to find my post had been deleted. I was in a bit of a strange sort of mood, and posted some things that shouldn't have been said. My dad always taught me and my siblings that if you don't have something nice to say about somebody, then don't say anything at all. I always try to maintain that lesson, so rather than edit the post, which would've taken some time to do, I chose to just click a button and do away with the entire content. There wasn't much knitting or spinning talk, so you didn't miss much.

The black Ishbel shawl I have been working on is nearing completion, and I'm so happy! It is turning out well, and I'm very pleased with the way it looks. I'm hoping to have it on the blocking board by Friday, and delivered to the recipient on Saturday. I'm so anxious to get back to some spinning, and finishing up some of those works already in progress that I put on the back burner to knit Ishbel.

I do apologize for the lack of pictures, but these are just drive-by posts while my husband is getting ready for the day. He is on vacation this week, and rather than having a planned schedule of places to go and things to do, we decided to do a stacation and do things impulsively this time. The most important thing is that Scooter is having a very relaxing time away from a very stressful job. Saturday was my 40th high school reunion, and we had two of my girlfriends spend the weekend with us. We had a blast!!! Sunday was the family picnic, but we left early to take one of my girlfriends to the airport to catch her flight home to San Diego. From there, Scooter treated me to a lovely dinner on the river; the perfect end to a perfect weekend!!

We are headed out for the day (slept in late) to do some fun kind of shopping. Tools for him and possibly a Beach Cruiser bike for me. One with a basket for Maggie to ride in, too!!
I hope your week so far, has been a wonderfully peaceful and stress-free one!

Till next time...take care!
