Time marches forward

Hubby left on another business trip before the crack of dawn this morning, and while I miss him terribly when he's gone, I don't have a problem staying busy. In fact, some days, I feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day to get things done! Today, I feel like I'm a little ahead of the game, since I was up and driving him to the airport at 5am. When I returned, I waited for about a half hour for it to lighten up a little bit outside, before I took the dogs for a wonderfully, brisk walk. It won't be long before the three of us are going to need sweaters for those walks and I'm really looking forward to it!

When we returned, I remembered a tunic I've had on the needles since the beginning of summer, that has been haunting me. Yes, this is one of the five I posted about in a previous post. I have the back finished, so I decided to go ahead and cast on for the front. It's going to be beautiful, and very fun to wear for the fall. Ever since I found a new home for my laptop in my new craft/sewing/office room, there has been a lot more knitting going on. I'm so close to getting my little grandson's cardigan finished, and last night I finished another hat for Halos of Hope. I have met my goal of two hats per month until February, but I just may get a chance to cast on for a third one for this month.

In decorating news....I'm stymied on what to put on the wall to the right of our fireplace. The wall to the left has the burlap wreath I made. I might do like Molly did and do a silhouette of Chris and I, and frame them. I've always loved those. We made them when I was in elementary school, and my son had his done I think when he was in Kindergarten. I still have it to this day, and he is now going to be 41 years old! Maybe I should fall down into that deep hole called Pinterest, and see if there is something on there that I would like to have on that wall. Then again, there is also a "Vintage and Antique Fair" this next weekend, where I might pick up something interesting...you just never know!
