Usually, I buy a certain stitch marker I really like from Miss Purl at Stitches West. This year, she happened to be at Lambtown, and what a nice surprise!! Again, I couldn't resist and bought two new cards of markers. They are just so pretty and I love that they are snag free! That was pretty much it for me...I thought about buying another fleece, but I haven't even touched the one I got at Retzlaff Vineyards this past May. It's not like I don't have anything to spin...I've got POUNDS I need to get to!!!
A picture of my new stitch markers and Fishknits skein of yarn. I thought I had my bobbins in there too, but well, you know what those already look like.
I've been knitting like crazy the past couple of days. I want to get the charity blanket project out of the way, so I can get back to my cardigan and mitts for my sister's birthday. I'm almost to the halfway point on the blanket, so maybe just a few more days. I really like the gull lace pattern, and I'm sure some new mom will enjoy having it for her new little one.
I've also accomplished a little more spinning, but before I go any further, I need to get a digital scale and weigh my fiber. I will be doing that today. I want to spin as equal as I can get two singles, so I can ply them together and have minimal waste.
I spent part of my day yesterday, repotting our orchids into larger pots. I just love that they have grown and hoping they bloom again this next year. We winterized our yards and patio, and pulled some more Fall decor down from upstairs.
Over the past few days, hubby and I have been treating ourselves to a nice cup of coffee in the afternoon....this is the time of year I love a nice Salted Caramel Mocha....and you have to admit, Starbuck's makes a great one!!
