When I was asked by another young man, that works at the restaurant my knitting group meets at each week, to make him a hat, I had such a hard time saying no. These kids that work there seem to be very driven, and actually have manners! They attend college and work as many hours as they can possibly get from management. When it appears to me that these kids have no sense of entitlement, I have no problem fulfilling a request that seems so small to me. God has given me a gift, and if I can use it to make others happy, then that makes me happy. So, when I presented Trevor with the hat he requested last night, I was touched by his reaction. He was so grateful to have something that would keep his ears warm in the mornings now. He put it on and said he would be right back. He disappeared into the back and came back out to announce to his co-workers that he could stay in the freezer for hours now and his ears would stay warm! lol He thanked me several times, but watching him was thanks enough. Another instance where actions speak louder than words!

Do you not just hate when the coffee demons have struck? Mess with anything in my kitchen that you want, but do NOT mess with my coffee!!!! If I had wanted 'hobo' coffee this morning, I would've got out the pot and boiled it myself. I knew there was something funky about that filter when I got it out to put in the basket of my coffeemaker. Wish I had listened to my inner voice that told me not to use it, but oh no, I went ahead anyway, and now I get to have coffee plus the gounds! I just had my first cup, so I guess it's not going to be too bad.....yet. I need to remember to use my French press more often. Much tastier and no messing around with paper filters. It's not all bad...at least I'm getting my caffeine fix.

The second clue to my mystery socks was posted last night, but I was too tired to work on them when I got home from knitting night. You can bet I will today though! I might have pics to show you tomorrow. One person has finished them when I checked this morning and she posted pics...I am loving this pattern so far!!!!
