Some good, some not so good

The so-called experts say even good things in your life can be stressful, so I suppose I've had both good and bad stress in my life the past couple of months. I am only going to focus on the good stuff since most of the bad has turned around now. Unfortunately, the bad garbage happened during Ravelympics, and I chose to deal with it rather than cross the finish line with my project. I'm okay with that and Scooter told me last night how proud he is of me for making family and friends my top priority. As much as I love my knitting and crocheting, it will never take precedence over the people in my life. However, I have picked my February Lady Sweater back up and am a little more than half way (3/4 length sleeves) on my first sleeve. So, I am making progress and this sweater will get done!! I am loving this pattern so much!!!
This past weekend, a few of my friends and I hopped on the train and went to Stitches West 2010. What a blast!!!! Even if you don't have the budget for anything, just taking in all the people walking around in their knitted garments is well worth the trip. Kudos to all the vendors for the hard work they put into this event and making sure their customers are well taken care of. I focused mainly on purchasing handdyed fibers and patterns, so it was nice to have my questions answered in a courteous, friendly manner. There is nothing better than a knitter in my opinion...not one time did I have one bump into me and not apologize for it...awesome people!!

Besides all my goodies I came home with, the highlight of my trip was getting to see Jasmin and Gigi from the Knitmore Girls podcast, again. They are just two of the sweetest women on earth and if you don't already, check out their podcast. You won't be disappointed, I promise...just full of good yarny stuff and the two of them just work so well together!!! They also have a group on Ravelry, so stop by and say hello. Also, I'm still in awe of finally getting to meet Dr. Gemma...she amazes me! Her enthusiasm is so contagious and her knowledge is so worth listening to. Her podcast is Cogknitive and she has a group on Ravelry of the same name as well. Thank you Jasmin, Gigi, and Gemma, for all that you do!!!!!

I still haven't had a chance to get a picture of all my Stitches goodies, so maybe what I will do is just post them as I complete each project. Or actually, I'm going to wind all of my yarn this weekend and maybe that would be a better time for pics anyway.
For now, I will leave you with a wish for a happy Wednesday...stay warm, healthy, and safe!
