Last night, after thinking about my post from yesterday, and having Scooter read it, I want to clarify something. In no way, under any circumstances, was it meant to be a personal attack on someone whom I consider a friend and always will. If it was construed by anyone as such, you are sadly mistaken, and completely missed the whole point of what I was attempting to get across. All I was saying is this person's comment to me a few days ago, spawned a whole evening of interesting conversation between me and my husband about why a person should dread any day of the week, more specifically Mondays. What could some of the contributing factors be in a person's life that would cause them such dissatisfaction, or are they merely using the "I hate Mondays" card as a routine general statement like a lot of people do? In any case, it gave Scooter and I a chance to look at our own opinions about Mondays and how I'm in a position at this point in my life as a retired person to see the workforce from both sides. Having said that, I can say that I can appreciate the person that has to get up and face the world outside the home on Mondays, especially if you have to work at a job you aren't happy in.
I'm very fortunate that I have a husband who loves to have these type of conversations with me. He is a very well-read and intelligent man, so I have nothing but the utmost respect and love for him. When he read my post, he said "honey, that isn't anything that you wouldn't have said to your own daughters". He is so right on with that one!!!
In closing, I would like to say thank you to my friend for giving Scooter and I a topic to discuss in relation to our own future plans where Mondays are concerned.
I hope y'all have a wonderful day and the sun is shining in your part of the world!
