Another crochet piece I've been wanting to work up for a long time is this....I hope you can see it ok. The pixels got all jumbled up, so I'm including the link to it on Ravelry as well so you can see it better. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kimono-cardi I just think this would be so cute to have in my wardrobe!

Yesterday, after I finished my slinky scarf, I decided to pull out my old friend, my Oregon vest by Alice Starmore. I completely forgot how much FUN this piece is to work on!!!!! I forgot how much I love working with the wool, and watching the design come to life!!! Now, I don't want to put this beautiful piece down until it's finished...and that's a good thing!! A very good thing, since I want to wear it to Stitches!!! If I stay diligent about it, I might also be able to finish my kimono jacket, Sausalito, in time to take as well.
I'm very happy to report that Maggie seems to have her game back on!!! I'm so happy she is now back to that playful little puppy. Well, ok, just at certain times. Like when it's not bedtime, she's fun. The poor little thing has gotten her biological clock all turned around again. Last night, when I was trying to go to sleep (Scooter's out of town again), she wanted to nibble at my hands, lick my face, attempt to dig a hole in my stomach, and just be an all around nuisance. I gave in and played with her for a few minutes, and when I turned out the light, she burrowed (hey, she's a dachshund!) her way down under the sheets and was ready to settle down for the night. By that time, it was 1:30 am...I know, right? Then, Mr. Snicks was growling (yes, he's a cat with a loud whiny growl/meow) at 5 am wanting outside in his backyard to graze on some grass for a bit. Maggie and I went back to sleep, but it wasn't an hour later when he wanted back in. If Scooter doesn't make it back tonight, our furbabies are in for a big surprise...different schedule tonight!
To all my knitsibs...I will try to get a nap in before we meet up. If not, I'll make sure to drink buckets of coffee and perhaps you can be a little tolerant of me if I'm crabby? Just kidding, y'all know who you are, and I could never be crabby around you. Y'all bring out the best in me!!!
You have to come tonight, it's not the same without you. I hear 5 hour energy is great. JK. Those commercials just get stuck in my head. Hope you have time for a nap and PLEASE bring your scarf tonight. It looks gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Candice!!! Maybe I'll pick up a Rock Star...I do like those!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'll be wearing my scarf..it just feels too good not to! :=)
I love the scarf. I did a little happy dance when I realized that I have that pattern. Another project to add to my ever growing list!
