You may or may not remember my "Pool Party" socks, but I can show you progress has been made. I'm pretty sure I showed you sock #1 when I completed it. I can't imagine not having shown you!! I love these socks...I'm almost to the point where I can put in my waste yarn for the afterthought heel. Working on these socks has inspired me to pick my Kirsten Kapur mystery socks from 2012. I know, I know, you're probably shaking your heads at that one, but this was around the same time my mom passed away, and my mojo for everything fiber related marched right out the window! It's back in full swing now, as I know that's what my mom would want! I so want to get these done as they are in an olive green and I don't currently have any green socks in my drawer..... and they are done in one of my favorite yarn socks, Cherry Tree Hill. These will be up next after my wild, fun and crazy, neon vanilla afterthought heel socks...oh, and by the way, I love this heel....
Sock #2!
This scarf pattern continues to have me intrigued! I'm so close to being finished with it, and then I get to steek it to open it up. Not only do I love everything about this project, but I'm loving the whole process of how it knits up. It's called the Bad Oyster Scarf, and I also threw "Boho" in the name too...just because it looks so chic.
Yesterday, we had a pizza/swim party at Nana's and I just love doing this. I went and picked my grandkids up and brought them back to my house. They could easily walk the two blocks, but I don't know if my thirteen year old granddaughter can handle a couple of rambunctious five year olds on a walk like that. It's actually more like four blocks. And I needed to swing by and get their pizza for lunch anyway. While they ate, I vacuumed and tested the water in the pool. They ended up swimming and playing for three hours!! I bet they all slept great last night! I'm thinking since it's forecasted to be 103F today, we might have a repeat today, sans pizza. Maybe tuna sandwiches and a veggie tray...a little healthier, right?
