Thumbs up!

I delivered the Thorpe hat to my friend, Nathan, last night at Panera's. When I asked him if I could take his picture to post on my blog, he said "sure...that would be awesome!", and when I stepped back with my camera, he gave the thumbs up as you can see in the picture. It was the sweetest thing to see his excitement over it, and the best part is, since he's a young man, I told him he doesn't need to worry about special laundering for it...wash and dry!

Remember my pumpkin socks I was attempting about this time last year? I was almost to the heel on sock #1 and decided I wasn't happy with them. Yesterday, I decided to frog them completely, and revive them. I'm very excited about them again...I haven't gotten too far on the cuff yet, too much chatter last night at knitting, but I have a good start! I'll keep ya posted....

This weather thing has really got my allergies in an uproar. I wish it would just stay cool from here on out!! One day it's 100+ degrees and the next, back down to the 70's or 80's. I haven't felt good for most of this week...head all plugged up and swollen eyes to boot! I had every intentions of going for my eye exam this week too, so I could get some more contacts ordered, but I don't want to do that with the orbs two sizes bigger. They burn and itch! Ugh.

Yesterday, I spent the afternoon with my friend Laurie, and we did quite a bit of jewelry making. I haven't had a chance to take pics yet, but I will soon. I'm so excited to learn how to make designer pieces that would cost a king's ransom at Nordstrom's! I soooo need some new earrings and now I'm learning to make my own...talk about fun...YES!!! Actually, my entire jewelry wardrobe needs updating...just what I need, another hobby, right? lol I love letting the inner artist in me create, so for now, I will leave you with this post and get busy with whatever projects I decide to work on today. I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll be back soon...
