I have the best life!

I had the best birthday ever this past Tuesday! I won't be revealing a whole lot here, but those close to me know what kind of a day it was for me, and I am more thankful than you would ever know! Scooter took the whole day off work to spend with me, and he said the sweetest thing a man could ever say. When I woke up that morning, he brought me coffee, kissed me, and said "Happy Birthday baby...I'm going to wait on you hand and foot today!" I am so lucky...I love this man so much!!!

We spent the day with family and friends, and I can't tell you how awesome it was. I'm still in a state of euphoria. It wasn't the gifts, well, ok, if we're to be honest, it's always a little to do with that, but only because we know time was spent choosing the perfect card, etc., and a gift always comes from the heart.

It was good to join up with my knitting group again last night after having missed last week, and my friend Toni was so sweet. She surprised me with some lovely mums in the perfect color for fall...I love them!!!!

I have several things on my needles, but at this point, I don't have any pictures yet to be able to share with you. I casted on again for the February Lady sweater in a yarn I am truly enjoying. The color is gorgeous...a navy blue with a sort of black halo over it. I'm very excited to be working on it again. The Knit Picks Comfy worsted I originally began with just wasn't happening for me...too much cotton in it for me, I think. I'm almost finished with sock number one for the pair I'm knitting for Scooter. I tell ya, he's one lucky dude and he knows it! He loves it when I knit for him, and I love doing it for him too!!!

Some of the other items I'm working on, I can't share with you because the recipients read this blog, and I don't want to spoil the surprise. Perhaps in the future, I will be able to find a way to share with you without being too revealing.

Thank you again, Toni...that was just too sweet of you...I LOVE the flowers, shown in the pic above!!!! I wish I could photograph them to show how really pretty they are. They are more of a burgundy color, but there was too much light in my room, even with the flash off. Y'all get the idea though, right?
