Whenever I need some quick projects, I always turn to my crocheting skills. I'm extremely fast with the hook, and it's something I don't have to think about. It just seems to come natural for me and it's always been that way. I had an aunt that was the same way, so maybe it's in our genes? Anyway, in addition to finishing up some WIPs that I spoke of in my last post, I wanted to get some charity projects worked up and sent off before Ravelympics begins. I started this lapghan on Wednesday and finished it late last night, but didn't get pics of it until this morning when the lighting was better. It is going to be sent to Dawn, aka Knittinwolf on Ravelry, for a charity drive she is holding for the nursing home her grandmother is in at the moment. If you don't know about it, you can find details over on her blog, and there is a contest associated with it as well. I love the classic granny pattern and I hope it brings one of the seniors where Dawn's grandmother is, some comfort and happiness. If time permits, I will hopefully be able to get at least one more done for Dawn. Hop on over to her blog and check it out!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I'm not real certain what Scooter and I are going to do, but since he hasn't had a day off from work in over 20 days, he may just want to stay home and do NOTHING! And who could blame him? :=)
Know you are feeling well again, but you sure are good at making those blankets, shawls and socks. Keep it up lady. Get healthy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda! I swear everytime I go to the doctor, I come home sick. Ugh!
