it's because I'm back down in bed..AGAIN! It is the season for colds, flu, and whatever bug decides to invade, but here I thought I was doing all the right things to avoid any of it, and I get it all. I take my vitamins every single day, eat a fairly healthy diet, and was on the road to getting back into my workout routine. However, the one thing I failed to do this year was get my flu shot, so it's my own darn fault! Since I began getting them every year, I can't remember the last time I had the flu...maybe 20 years ago? r something like that. You can carve this in granite...I will NEVER fail to get it again. This is so not fun. I was able to take in some chicken broth my sweetie made for me last night and keep it down, and this morning, I'm still queesy, but I have managed a cup of coffee, for which I'm so grateful. On top of the nausea, there's nothing like those horrid lack of caffiene headaches. I will be staying down again today as I need to show Scooter all will be okay. He is wanting to take me to the doctor today, and yet, I know there is nothing they can do. I guess his fear is H1N1 virus, but I really don't think I'm exhibiting any of the symptoms, so I don't think the trip is necessary.
On a much happier note.......

No knitting at all has been done since I woke up ill yesterday morning. I just couldn't focus, nor did I even have the strength to make my fingers work. When lethargy sets in, there's no use even trying to do anything. It's a sign your body is giving you that you need to just rest, so rest is what I did. However, I did finish the little cardigan/shrug on Wednesday evening that I had been working on for one of my granddaughters, and now all I need to do is find the perfect button. I'm quite pleased with it and since my granddaughter has seen it, she loves it! The pattern is written a bit strange, but all in all, it's an easy knit, and of course, I never mind knitting for children with Encore. I'm hoping to get some better pics later...this one looks kind of washed out, but I wanted to take a minute and share it with you.
My next project I want to cast on for is Ishbel, which can be seen over on Ravelry. I'm going to use Cashsoft by Rowan, a very nice cashmere/merino blend.
I would like to say "Happy Blogiversary" to my friend Toni, and if you're in the neighborhood, stop by
here and take a look at all the fun stuff she has there to see. I love her yarntini socks!!!
I hope you're all taking care of yourselves and you have a most wonderful weekend!!!
It is really beautiful. So pretty in pink. I hope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can't wait to see Ishbel in that lovely luxurious yarn you bought. Get well soon.
Thank you Toni! I can't hardly wait to get started on it...as soon as I can focus again..argghhh!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you feel better very soon. Rest is the only way to get better. Trying to cope and get on with things will only prolong the mixsery.
ReplyDeleteI had 2 flu shots this year. They gave me the H1N1 as well as the seasonal one.
The bolero is looking pretty I am glad that you are back to your knitting again.
