Six hour shuffle

Many of you longtime regular readers of my blog know the reason I can't ever post anything too personal here, and for those that don't, pm me on Ravelry, or email me at knittingurd at yahoo. Having said that, all I can tell you is that Scooter and I made a trip out of town this weekend for a very special event concerning an immediate family member. It was a real honor to have been invited!!! We had such a great time, and I took loads of pictures for which I'm hoping to scrapbook for them!
Since my Oregon vest takes a lot of focusing, I chose to leave it at home as I knew there would most likely not be much time to work on it anyway. Our destination was six hours away, and knowing I need to have my Teaberry Shuffle socks done by next week, I decided this would be a great time to make some headway on them. I made it to the heel flap of the second sock, and after a few more rows, I will be ready to turn the heel and zoom into the home stretch. Honestly, I should have been able to finish it on the long car ride, but something about being a passenger on long trips like that send me to la la land. I think I get too relaxed and the next thing I know, I'm asleep! I would've loved to have had more knitting time while in our hotel room (it was a gorgeous suite!), but there was just too much to do with other family members that made the trip also.

On the agenda for today is some thorough house cleaning, a couple of errands, a little laundry, and possibly some knitting.

Have a great week everyone!!!
