Remembering

   R.I.P. my sister, Patty! 10/18/54 - 07/01/01 I love you always!

I know her thieves will more than likely not see this, but just on the off chance that you do, would you please return the vase that fits in the top of my sister's beautiful monument? I know times are tough, and because it's bronze, you have probably already cashed it in at the recyclers. I also know that my sister was the kind of person that took our father's teachings to heart and would say "oh let it be sweetie. He/she probably needs it worse than I do". If that's the case, then so be it. However, I can't think of anyone that needs it more than our mother at this point. It is breaking her heart to think that someone would desecrate my sister's and her brother's grave (yes, they stole my uncle's as well). Is nothing sacred to people anymore? While they were expensive grave markers because they do have the vase built in at the top of them, and I do have the means where I could replace them, what's the point? Knowing that someone would come along and rob them again and again, I might as well just keep vigil at my families interment sites and hand out the money. My sister is buried at the foot of our dad's grave, and next to our uncle. Thankfully, they didn't steal our dad's vase. Yet. For today, I will buy some cheap vases from the dollar store that will fit down in the hole where the nice ones once were, so that mom and I can set our flowers and pay our respect.
