It has been a while since I've experimented with the layout of my blog, and my how things have changed with Blogger! I'm so lost. I can't seem to get my backgrounds changed, the colors are all wrong, and even my gadgets don't want to seem to cooperate. Tuesdays are usually a pretty full day for me, and I would love to be able to just sit at my computer and play around to get everything tidied up, but I just don't have the time right now. So, it will have to remain as such for now until I'm able to get back to it, perhaps this evening. So sorry for the mess around here, but hopefully you will find the content more pleasing rather than the cosmetics!
With all of this re-decorating going on in my home and here on my blog, it's not left me much time to get any spinning, or knitting done. My poor wee grandson keeps asking me if I've finished "mitting his shirt?" Sweet baby!!! He doesn't know how close I am to being done with it, and I'm guessing even in this 100 (F) degree weather, he will still wear it, which is exactly why I'm really in no hurry to finish it just yet. I've almost got the buttonband done, and then it will be time to hunt down the perfect buttons! I love finishing garments off with the couture look though, so I will also choose the perfect grosgrain ribbon to match. I promise pictures once I've reached that point!
I've also got some chemo hats on my needles for a wonderful organization called Halos of Hope. This is something very dear to me, as my mom was receiving radiation treatments when she passed away 18 months ago. She loved it when she went to the cancer center and saw that people were able to just reach into a container and choose any hat they wanted..."for free!" she would exclaim. I miss her so much, so it makes me happy to remember her words as I knit these caps!
Yesterday, I made another pumpkin and just love how these clever little guys look! I was telling my daughter about them last night, and after describing them to her over the phone, she still couldn't picture what they looked like. So, I will be taking one to her today!
I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed day!!!
