Today was another full afternoon of shopping, as I prepare my 'vacation' wardrobe. I managed to find a swimsuit, and three tops, to add to what I already bought last week. All that's left is a good pair of flip flops. All of this meant that my poor pup, Izzie the Chihuahua, was crated a good part of the day. Maggie the Dachshund, doesn't get crated, so she can come and go outside whenever she wants. When I got home, I took them outside for a bit while I strolled through my garden. Well, actually, they followed me outside. I was so surprised to find a couple of jalapenos, that apparently, Maggie doesn't know about. She has eaten them right off the plant before! We had no idea that dachshunds like peppers!
It seems everything is finally in bloom. My oranges, however, snuck up on me, especially the Morrow 'Blood' Orange. I found several of these....
There were even more navel oranges!
And last, but not least, my Hisbiscus' have bloomed. I absolutely love these flowers! They need to obviously be cut back, since they are climbing in our trees again, but I won't let Scooter do it until after the season. They are just too pretty to look at!
This should be the week I get my sewing machine back from being serviced. I just remembered that today, and I'm so excited! I can't hardly wait to sew something with it. I'm anxious to do some more quilting too! So, expect to read more about that later...
Tomorrow is voting day for those of us in California, so I have an information booklet waiting for me....I must do my patriotic duty and
