Mixed bag

As much as I dread it, I need to spend tomorrow reading my Voter Information booklet. Tuesday is election day for California primaries, and obviously I want to be informed, so that I can make the right choices. I would much rather knit, spin, and swim with my grandkids, but it's called priorities, and I think voting is an important thing to do. Besides, that booklet is very thin, so shouldn't take long at all...

Last night, I decided to just rip my "Pool Party" socks and start over so I could do the ribbing I messed up on yesterday. After a few rounds of starting anew, it was apparent to me that they were going to be too big. I double checked my needle size and they were a US 2 but in a 2.75mm and I need a 2.5mm. So, today, I have cast on again on smaller needles and we will see what happens!

Socks that are too big!

After cleaning the house today, I made a run to BevMo! for my hubby and I. Those adult slushies yesterday were just too good. They're like an adult Capri-Sun...just stick a straw in and you're good to go! I also picked up some more martini mixer and vodka for the next time the girls come over, and we want a pomegranate martini...
Not to worry...I won't be mixing martinis with politics, as I peruse my voting decisions!

It's been a long day for us, so I'm going to leave you with this, and go relax with some knitting. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
