Be happy day

In my new planner/journal, one of the goals I set for myself this week and made note of, was to get at least ten of thirty blocks assembled for my quilt. Before I even had breakfast this morning, I sat down to do just a couple of them. The next thing I knew, I had all ten of them done. They aren't perfect and some of my corners don't match up precisely, but it's perfect for me. I'm loving making this quilt, and can hardly wait to get it done!

I love looking at the blocks in a stack!

About that planner...something else I've had so much fun doing! I have always loved paper and all the paraphernalia that goes along with it. Here's a few pictures for you to see what I've been raving on about the past few days. I would like to get some more Washi tapes...wow, are those ever fun, and you can write on them too!

This was what I meant by a little scrapbooking too. This is a picture of my grandson pitching in his little league game the other night. Brag alert...there's a reason he wears the #1 jersey! :)

Not sure if you can see it, but the column on the far left is where you make notes of your goals for the week. Mine says finish at least 10 quilt blocks by Tuesday, March 24th. Check!

Blank pages in the back to write on or whatever you want to do. Aren't they pretty?

Yesterday afternoon, I treated myself to a desperately needed pedicure. My favorite thing to take to work on is socks. I had just cast on for another pair of plain vanilla socks and had only done about five rows of ribbing. Lots of knitting to keep my hands occupied. Between then and this morning, here's the progress so far...what a fun colorway!!! It's Opal sock yarn and there is no name, only numbers. These self-striping yarns are so addicting..

During my morning coffee before I started sewing, I put one more row on my lace capelet. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but when there are 291 stitches, it does take a little time. I'm looking forward to sitting down this evening with it for a bit, as well as my Remembering Vanessa Cowl. I'm so close to being finished with that project, and then I'd like to show my mystery socks of 2015 (yeah, remember those? I'm pretty sure I showed them to you) a little love. They are so pretty and all that's left to do are the gussets and the feet!

These are a few of my happy things (it's National Be Happy day!!) today...I hope you had some to brighten your day!

Before I end this, I would like to share one more thing that made me happy today. This past winter, my husband brought me home some Salted Caramel Tea by Bigelow, from one of his travels up to the northwest. I absolutely loved it and had to find some locally! I had been looking at every store I went to. I even put in a special request with my grocery store I shop at, to no avail. Yesterday, I made a stop at our local Wal Mart, one of those stores that just isn't my favorite place to go for reasons I won't bring up here. There, on the shelf next to the coffee I wanted to get for my Keurig, stacked nice and neat, was my TEA!!! I threw several boxes of it into my basket, and have been enjoying it all day long. Our weather turned cooler again today, we're expecting rain, and it was the perfect treat!! This is one super happy woman!
